| as i slowly (very slowly) unpack my ...stuff here in the cornfields part of me is dying and depressed.
"i have so much ...stuff" runs in my head over and over again. i take a break from putting all this ...stuff away thinking it'll disappear or decrease in quantity...
mmm, nope. it's still there.
it's heavy. it's a lot. and it's been sitting in boxes for 8+months.
and the sad thing is that this is MAYBE 1/2 of my life's ...stuff. this is only my ...stuff located here in urbana, IL. (at one point in July all of my ...stuff was literally in 5 different locations in the world...but that's another thought for another day)
i look at my ...stuff and wonder, am i just hording all this ...stuff? yes and no. some of this ...stuff
is like...TEXTBOOKS (GAG ME...those are heavy and eat up space). lots
of it is clothes. every year (beginning and end of the school year) i
get this feeling because all my ...stuff is laid out in front of me and i wonder... "do i need this?" usually it's a...no, probably not.
I've lived for 8+months without all those clothes that have been packed away.
but the difficult thing is that there are many memories locked away in these boxes as well (and practical things)...
*sigh. constantly moving around makes me aware of all this ...stuff that i have. maybe if i stayed put i wouldn't have to come face-to-face with all this ...stuff twice a year.
this will be a semester of reflection. mmm, i'm looking forward to it. just found 4 journals from the past 3 years...hahaha!
time to get back to putting all this ...stuff away
(oh yeah, there are a bunch of practical things that take up room, like pillows, blankets, and stuffed animals! hahaha) |
